WHY STUDENTS SHOULD USE

COREL VIDEO STUDIO

VideoStudio layout is very simple and intuitive. On the upper side of the screen there are three tabs: Capture, Edit and Share. These options start respectively an interface for recording, editing and exporting. In the main section of the Editing tab there is a preview pane on the left, the library on the right and a timeline that occupies the lower half of the screen.

The library contains all the media files of your project, such as video, audio and images, in addition to the effects and transitions On the timeline, when you first start, there is a total of five tracks: video, overlays, title, audio and music. From the toolbar above the timeline you can easily select the commands to delete and redo the last action, to launch the audio, the subtitles editor and the Auto Music and Track Motion functions.

We like VideoStudio interface for its clarity. Small symbols, similar to a row of dots on the corner of each section, indicate that the section can be resized or moved. Move your mouse over a tool and a tip will appear explaining exactly its function. Some important tools such as color correction, fade in and out, and video rotation are a bit hidden.

Click the video with the right button on the timeline and select the item "open option panel" to see these settings. Overall, the key items such as those that allow you to split, cut and rotate videos, are easy to find and use. However, it is frustrating to have only one video track in your project. You can put a video on top of the other using the overlay track, but the effects can be applied only on the multimedia contents of the main video track.
