But that’s not the end of it! As evoked in our feedback videos, Guidigo can be put to good use in many other fields too. Our students thought of the funnier or more playful side of course, and soon suggested resorting to Guidigo to create upgraded treasure-hunts and challenges. It had a clear impact on their motivation. Then, our team of colleagues — teaching a variety of subjects ranging from chemistry-and-physics to physical education, as well as humanities — reflected on other subjects which could benefit from using Guidigo.

This is true of sportive activities. Indeed, a P.E. teacher could create a special orienteering trail with specific stops where the students would have to execute a few series of physical exercises: that could shake up the traditional warming-up or shaping-up routines.

In addition, we also considered applying Guidigo to natural sciences: while visiting a vast natural reserve with a limited amount of time, you could narrow the search and select the stops that are relevant to a specific topic and focus your students on what matters most.

Finally, an English or literature teacher could easily imagine creating a Guidigo tour on a

famous writer’s and/or character’s favorite spots or habits in his city, such as Sherlock Holmes’London— to give but one example...

In a nutshell, working with this app (and the other apps as well) really invites us to reconsider our approaches to teaching in many fields, and this is just the beginning!
