tand-up is the scariest, most fulfilling and
exhilarating medium of comedy. For Amy,
“It’s amazing because you have no one
to hide behind, and when you get a laugh it is
all because of you.” Stand-up can also be scary
because you are writing about the truth of who you
are. “It’s very soul bearing.” She gets her material
from everyday life, exchanges with the people she
loves, and random observations. “I have notes all
over my phone, and I can’t wait to get on stage.”
You can find Amy sharpening her skills at LA
comedy clubs.
So what inspires the young actress? People
who are going through hard times in their lives
and overcome them with grace, dignity and
compassion. “My dear friend Rebecca Zamolo
has been battling IBD publicly and her courage
and strength is incredibly inspiring to me.” She
admires her ability to keep smiling through a tough
situation. She has an incredibly positive infectious
energy. “I have the most wonderful girlfriends and
each of them inspires me to be better and work
harder every day.”
Amy Paffrath has been busy to say the least.
Hosting credits consist of Dating Naked, MTV’s
Jersey Shore: After Hours and E!’s Entertainment.
She has also had guest appearances on 2 Broke
Girls as a plucky waitress and an LA actress on
Hot in Cleveland. She also was in the major motion
picture, 2014’s The Purge: Anarchy. There is no
end to this bright young talent.
Paffrath, a unique German name for a unique
individual who embraces every opportunity placed
before her with zest, great heart, and pointed
focus. You have heard the saying, do what comes
naturally; Amy is shining example of this age old
sentiment. As one of the star’s favorite groups aptly
sings, “You got the right stuff, baby.”
