For Amy, “It’s amazing because you have no one to hide behind, and when you get a laugh it is all because of you.” Stand-up can also be scary because you are writing about the truth of who you are. “It’s very soul bearing.” She gets her material from everyday life, exchanges with the people she loves, and random observations. “I have notes all over my phone, and I can’t wait to get on stage.” You can find Amy sharpening her skills at LA comedy clubs. So what inspires the young actress? People who are going through hard times in their lives and overcome them with grace, dignity and compassion. “My dear friend Rebecca Zamolo has been battling IBD publicly and her courage and strength is incredibly inspiring to me.” She admires her ability to keep smiling through a tough situation.
