Colorblocked Wetsuit, Cynthia Rowley Watch, adidas achieve their goals. I find this helpful in getting them prepared for their first shoot. If it is an experienced model who specializes in fitness they pretty much know what to do and most of them maintain their bodies so they are always in top form. FMM: Are you very hands on with the post processing of the digital files? JS: Yes. I do 95% of my own post processing and retouching. I find for me it makes a better picture when there is the same eye from inception to completion. Plus I love the process of showing people a before and after. I find that a lot of people have never seen what is possible in a more natural way. They only hear the negative side of retouching which is a whole other discussion. FMM: Of all the images you’ve taken in your career, which is your favorite and why? JS: I don’t get too attached to my images for very long. I love it for a couple weeks maybe then I’m on to the next. I get sick of artwork quickly and just have to see something new and different. That said, I am still obsessed with this feature story that says a lot since I shot it six months ago. FMM: What’s the most important thing you want potential clients to know about you? JS: I love what I do and hopefully that shows in my work and in my nature. I want to deliver the best possible product, so that we all can be excited to share the work with others. It’s important to me that a clean atmosphere & positive energy are present on set. Big egos and forceful attitudes must be checked at the door. I believe that motivating people produces a higher success rate than criticism. This too comes with a lot of experience ;) 56 || FITNESS M A G A Z I N E || APRIL / MAY 2015
