it has become so much more to me than just winning and trophies. I have learned a new way of living that has been carried over to my family. My husband and I now actually enjoy clean eating and being on a meal plan! We train together every morning and are teaching our kids the importance of being a healthy and fit person. In addition, as a personal trainer I have the privilege of changing the lives of people who were once in my situation. Showing them the correct way to train, pushing them beyond their limits, and being a source of motivation, inspiration, and most often, advice, I have found a new purpose in life and one that fulfills some of the reasons why I became a physician. I am excited to train every day and change the lives of those around me. Due to my background in medicine and a newly found love and talent for writing, I have discovered additional success and a new opportunity for my 184 || FITNESS M A G A Z I N E || APRIL / MAY 2015 skills. I am happy and enjoying a path in life that I never imagined. Every day is a new day for more opportunities and to be involved with the creation of a life that I never saw possible. ow that I have transformed my life, it is my goal to help those around me and to be a source of inspiration as well as information. I want to share my journey and transformation with the world and to show people what is possible. I truly believe that it is never too late to change and to be what you want to be. You have the ability to create your own path in life and to control your success and happiness. I have come to realize that no success or failure defines me, no man or woman can make or break me, and my age does not limit me. I am who and what I choose to be.
