sponsors. But, I really enjoy training, and it makes
me feel better, so I always find a way and the time
to do it.
FFM: Do you have any advice for people who
are having trouble sticking to an exercise
routine?
NM: I think the biggest problem is that people
normally want overnight results when starting
an exercise/nutrition routine. However, nothing
happens overnight. The changes can be slow, but
small changes are better than no changes. So,
my advice is to keep on going and to not compare
your progress to anybody else’s.
FFM: Can a child be too young to start a
program?
NM: If they are under professional guidance, and are
healthy I don’t see a problem in kids working out.
FFM: Give us good practical breakfast, lunch,
and dinner ideas for when you are on the run.
Breakfast- Overnight oats
-Before going to bed the night before, put oats,
your favorite protein powder, water, Desiccated
coconut (or almonds) in a container with a lid.
Leave it overnight in the fridge and in the morning
it will be a delicious pudding texture “on the go”
breakfast.
Lunch- Low Carb Tortilla Wrap with Low Sodium
Canned Tuna
- You can mix the Tuna with a bit of black pepper,
olive oil, and Greek Yogurt. Make a wrap with
Romaine Lettuce and the tuna mix.
Dinner- Baked Salmon with Sweet Potato Baked
Fries and peas
- Season the salmon with herbs, black pepper, and
salt, wrap it in tin foil, and put it in the oven for 15
minutes. Cut the sweet potatoes in slices (I always
leave them in bulk already sliced in the fridge), put
it on a baking tray and sprinkle salt, black pepper,
and cinnamon. Put it in the oven for 15 minutes.
Put the frozen peas to boil in water for 5 minutes.
Or, you can just buy the microwaveable bags.
**The prep time for all this is less than 5 minutes.
FFM: Any upcoming books or seminars so
people can learn and follow your instructions?
NM: Yes. I have been doing seminars in many
places, just last year alone I did seminars and
training camps in 12 different countries. BernSwitzerland, Tampa- USA, London-England and
Belfast-Northern Ireland are some of the ones
coming up. To stay updated on my seminar
schedule you can just go to my Facebook page (/
nathaliamelofit), where I always post information
about my upcoming events. I will also be
launching my eBook in a month, as well as my
website-stay tuned!
FFM: What do you enjoy doing in your down
time?
NM: I am not really a “down time” type of person; I
can’t sit still! But, when I have some free time I like
to travel and visit different places or just stay home
reading books and spending time with my fiancé,
in between work email checks, haha.
FFM: What is something interesting about you
that most people don’t know?
NM: I am always around people, and I find myself
a pretty sociable person. However, I consider
myself a bit of a loner, and I like to do things alone.
I will even go to the movies by myself, no problem.
I think it is good to enjoy your own company.
FFM: Tell us about your dog, he’s a Bernese
Mountain dog, right?
NM: Yes!! His name is Nacho, and he is a gentle
giant. He is a pure Bernese Mountain dog. His
parents were show dogs, but I think he wouldn’t be
too good at it as he is very clumsy! Nacho is a big >>>
