The Antiques and Collectibles Fair is sponsored by the West Side Improvement Association and is held in the Le Bourget Park on the west bank of the Mississippi River .
Deb Retka with the West Side Improvement Association said the items sold vary from year to year , but usually include antique jewelry , hardware , ceramic , glassware , dolls , kitchen , sporting items and more .
Retka said as times are changing and repurposed items have become increasingly popular , the Antiques and Collectibles Fair is adding that to its event , as well .
“ Come check it out . There ’ s really something here for everyone , young and old ,” she said .

The 48th annual Lone Eagle Car Show and Swap Meet will be held rain or shine at the Morrison County Fairgrounds from 7 a . m . to 2 p . m ., Sunday only . With hundreds of vintage automobiles , the event is a delight for car enthusiasts .
Douglas Boser , president of the Lone Eagle Auto Club said in the past the vehicles were parked among other cars in the same class . However , beginning last year , which turned out to be a great success , the vehicles are displayed together , regardless of which class it is entered in .
“ Some people didn ’ t want to be in a class , but just wanted to hang out with their friends and be parked next to them . After a lot of planning and careful discussion , we decided to try it out last year and it went over very well ,” he said .
Another highlight of the change , Boser said , is that because the cars from different eras are parked together , visitors are encouraged to walk through the whole show . “ It was a good change ,” he said . Numerous trophies in various categories are voted on by the public , as well as specialty trophies . To prevent accidents from happening , no animals are allowed on the premises of the car show .
