Other fun activities on Friday include the 4-H beef and swine show at 3 p . m .; the United Way Bean Bag Tournament at 6 p . m .; the truck pull at 6:30 p . m .; Friday Night Lights horse event at 7 p . m . with fireworks at dusk . Saturday is kids ’ day at the Fair . While the 4-H and open dairy cattle show will begin at 9 a . m ., the Fair opens at 10 a . m . CMA Minnow Races will be held from 11 a . m . to 3 p . m ., along with Son-Lite Balloon Twisting and Face Painting from 11 a . m . to 3 p . m . Fans of Frozen will have the opportunity to attend the meet and greet social with Anna and Elsa at the Frozen Princess Party from 11 a . m . to 3 p . m .
Other activities at the Fair on Saturday include the Come Paint with AGRI + Culture and Tiny School of Art Mural from 11 a . m . to 4:30 p . m .; Dinosaur Dimensions at 11 a . m ., 2:30 p . m ., 4 p . m . and 5:30 p . m .; a “ 500 ” card tournament at 12:30 p . m .; RC car racing from noon to 6 p . m .; S . G . Edelweiss German Dancing at 3 p . m . and the Wesley Waffles Kid Show at 1 p . m ., 4:30 p . m . and 6:30 p . m .
In addition , this year ’ s Century Farm recipients will be recognized at 3:45 p . m . The Blue Ribbon 4-H auction will be held at 4 p . m ., the 4-H premier showmanship at 6:30 p . m . the demolition derby at 7 p . m .
Music will be provided by The Jugsluggers at noon , 3:30 p . m . and 5 p . m . and the Marshall Star Band from 9 p . m . to midnight .
One event that was a great success last year is the Bulls and Barrels Rodeo , which will be held again at 1 p . m ., Saturday . Rodeo Producer Cassie Baum said visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy a variety of events , such as mutton bustin ’, barrel racing , bull riding and more . New this year , is the ranch saddle bronc event , in which a regular saddle with a horn is used instead of the hornless saddle bronc saddles . “ It ’ s mostly done by just women ,” Baum said . In addition , a variety of other activities will take place during the rodeo , such as hay bale throwing contest , a coloring contest and roping demonstrations . “ The rodeo will go on , rain or shine ,” Baum said . Armbands to the rodeo can be purchased at the gate . Tickets can also be pre-purchased at Coborn ’ s in Little Falls , and turned in at the time of the event in exchange for an armband , Baum said .
There will also be more than 50 indoor and outdoor vendors , the Farmer ’ s Market and more on site .

Dam Festival celebration in LF , set for June 16 - 17

The Dam Festival in Little Falls is a river city celebration that runs from Friday - Saturday , June 16 - 17 .
On Friday , Little Falls businesses will feature their Dam Festival sales with the “ Dam Sidewalk Sale .” That afternoon , festivities get underway at Maple Island Park and run from 3 p . m . – midnight , with entertainment provided by DJ Kris Crosby , from 4 p . m . - 8 p . m . Food vendors , beverage garden and pull tabs will be set up . Beginning at 8:30 p . m ., guests can dance the night away with live music by Junk FM .
On Saturday , the “ free ” Dam2Dam Bike Ride begins at 7:30 a . m . The ride starts and ends at Le Bourget Park in Little Falls . The route takes you along Lindbergh Drive south passing by the home of Charles Lindbergh the world-famous pilot . It continues along the Great River Road south for miles of scenic views . At 10.6 miles in you will have a rest stop and then the opportunity for one of two options . For information , contact Dave at Touright , ( 320 ) NEW-BIKE .
Saturday ’ s Dam Festival parade will begin at 11 a . m ., traveling from Little Falls City Hall and ending near CHI St . Gabriel ’ s Hospital .
At Maple Island Park Saturday , in addition to food vendors , a beer garden and pull tabs , activities will include inflatables , kids ’ games , bingo , axe throwing , water wars , a corn hole tournament , the North Dam Market featuring more than 50 vendors and more .
CJs Chris and Brand will entertain the crowd from noon – 4 p . m . At 4 p . m ., karaoke runs until 8 p . m ., and at 8:30 p . m ., live music will be provided by Patrick Sieben and the LVG .
At approximately 10:10 p . m ., a huge fireworks display over the Mississippi River will begin .
