After ministering at the local city jail for about
eight years, Minister Denise accepted her
public call to ministry in late 2006 and is a
licensed Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
She has ministered at Women Conferences
and other events locally and can be heard each
second Sunday of the month on WFEB Radio
1340 AM at 6:30 a.m.
The ministry also involves teaching the Body of
Christ to utilize the arts such as praise and
worship dance, interpretive movement and
expressive signing, drama, and poetry through
public and private workshops. Minister
Godfrey has trained under a professional dance
instructor at the Dance and Performing Arts
Studio in Sylacauga Alabama and has also
obtained certification as a Liturgical Dance
Instructor through Visual Praise Dance
Ministries.
Minister Godfrey has also written and
published three books, entitled “Worshipping
God/Serving God-the Mary-Martha Syndrome,
“So you say you can praise dance-now what?,
“The Day I Danced Under an Open Heaven” and
her newest release: "Unequally Yoked-The
Pleasures of Sin lasts for a Season." As a Play-
Write, she has written four gospel stage plays,
entitled “Daddy’s Little Girls Embracing the
Father”, “Saving Generation Next”, “A Change
is Gonna Come”, and "Somethin for Mama", and
also several inspirational poems.

Beginning Ministries where she serves as one
of the Associate Ministers under the covering
of Pastor Erastus Godfrey and Assistant Pastor
