Writing the book is one part of authorship. Once it is written there is marketing. Please share with us your favorite methods for publishing, and getting reviews. How do you market your books? In a sense, it’s more like a stall. I either feeling lazy, apprehensive or not ready to commit a certain amount of time to a project. Sometimes I know what I want to write but I am not inspired. I am a mood driven author. Any tips on how to get through the dreaded writer ’ s block? Very Grass roots. I used the Forrest Gump method. I ask people who have experience. They tell me what to do. I say, “OK!” after which I go back and ask, “What do I do next?” and repeat… What are your views on social media for marketing? It’s a plus and minus. In some instances it is needed. But I notice it works better when you have a large following, are popular, are a celebrity or connected to a celebrity… The challenge is getting past all the “white noise “ and finding YOUR audience… This is a Marathon, not a Sprint. Which social network worked best for you? Right now Facebook, because I meet so many artists. I have learned so much from them. What do you do to get book reviews? I ask readers to review, I used Kirkus, some promotional and contest websites, that cater to authors…but I need more… Do you have a strategy for finding reviewers? No. Any suggestions? ( Smile ) What are your thoughts on good / bad reviews? Any press is good press. But I prefer the Good because I need to build a reputation as a good, great Author. Once I have a million fans, than trashing me won’t matter. I figure after a million you’re supposed to have haters.
