What advice would you give to aspiring
writers?
Have faith in your talent but make sure you
research, research, and research everything.
Books are a business and you have to think
with a business mindset when your finish
writing the book.
Where can you see yourself in 5 years’ time?
Working on God knows which number book,
working as a private counselor, speaking at
various venues, and working on my PhD.
Which famous person, living or dead would
you like to meet and why?
Jesus and Malcolm X without questions. To sit
and listen and hold a conversation on how
they saw the world would be incredible.
Is there anything else you would like to add
that I haven’t included?
Yes, I would say to anyone who is a person of
faith, never be scared to stand on that faith in
their writing and personal stance Don’t allow
money to make you forget you a person of
faith. Also don’t be scared to tell some people
you won’t work with them, or support what
they’re into simply because you don’t want to
hurt their feelings or offend them.
I mention this because I am a Christian and I’ll
never comprise that fact for anyone in or out of
the literary arena. I make it clear I don’t work
with certain people or support certain topics
of agendas in my books or with my publishing
company. I know this cost me money support
at times, but I am OK with that.
