How do you market your books? I use social media to promote my books, build my brand and speaking platform. I like to make videos which cover different aspects of my book and my life. I also for assistance from promotional professional such as Kisha Green/Frazier who is incredible with the way she promotes authors on her various sites and social media outlets. An author has to invest in themselves and their book to get and keep the word out Do you have any advice for other authors on how to market their books? I would say to authors out here, they should be online daily having discussing and conversations which are connected to subject matter in their book and personal lives. They should be blogging where they can write about various subjects which offer readers a chance to get to know their writing style. They should look for professional outlets to send press releases or one sheets to in hope to get the word out about their books. Finally, authors must have a website. This acts like an online business card. This makes the author’s information available. Is there any marketing technique you used that had an immediate impact on your sales figures? I find if you are self-published you should be looking for any and every internet radio show on the net. It’s a free way to get the word out there about yourself and your books. You can also download the show afterwards to play on your website or other social media sites to assist in promotions and marketing. Do you have a trailer or do you intend to create one for your own books? I used to create trailers. However, now I don’t see the value unless, I am going to do a big campaign for my book. Authors can create one themselves but I wouldn’t advise that. People can see through cheap and poorly done work. If you don’t have the money to do it professionally save your money and wait. Patience and Quality are virtues.
