Author Spotlight with T . S . Newsome
When I was a little girl , about 8 years old my father told me I was going to be an Author one day . At the time I had no idea what he was speaking into my life . Fast forward 30 years , I ’ m now a published Author . I am working on another book , and things are beginning to turn around for me .
This here was a trick of the enemy . You see , I believe that often times the devil realizes that we are destined for greatness before we do , so he begins to cast his shadow on the chosen ones while they are children . He comes to steal , kill , and destroy .
My life has had it ’ s share of ups and downs . I was born to two amazing parents and I am the sister to two awesome brothers . Growing up , however , I felt as though I was the black sheep of the family . I constantly felt the need to “ measure up ”. I felt as though I needed to excel in order to gain the attention and affection of my parents and others .
From my earliest memories , I can recall not feeling pretty or smart . I struggled with low self-esteem for over 30 years . These feelings caused me to search for acceptance from all the wrong people . Because I had this poor perception of myself I felt like I needed someone to validate me . I began to get into relationships with people that didn ’ t deserve me , searching for love .
