In addition to an Associate ' s degree , I earned a BA in Religious Studies , and a Bachelor ' s of Science in Criminal Justice . I have a Master ' s of Divinity and a Master ' s of Arts in Clinical Mental Health . I am working toward licensure in counseling .
Now this was not always easy . People look at me now and see the success of five degrees . But when I started this , I was a single mom with two young children . I enrolled in community college and I had to take my chidren with me . I was blessed to have help . I could not take them inside of the classrooms , but I was able to leave them in the cafeteria under the watch of school security . They helped me to make sure that my children were safe .
I am an advocate of Education . whatever your hands find to do , don ' t just do it , but be educated to " perfect your gift ."
There was a woman in my church who wanted to go back to school . When she expressed it to me , I took her right then and there to enroll her and walked through the FAFSA ( Federal Student Aid ) process .
Don ' t play down your gifts and talents . For example if you like to fix hair or cut hair , then do it the right way . Get the professional training .

I have to maintain a balance with everything . My schedule is busy . From 8am to 1pm , I am in residence . From 1:30 pm to 9:00 pm I am at work . Then I am back in residence from 10:30 pm to 7:00 am .
There is a very careful balance between home , food ( preparing for my family ) my husband and the ministry . As women , we balance . But you don ' t have to do it by yourself . God puts us together to help each other .
