E D I T O R ' S N O T E
I have been challenged to understand the purpose of everything that I do . To ask myself , are my actions in the will of God ? Am I chasing after something other than what God has purposed me to do ?
Let me be clear , I don ’ t ask myself this simply for the sake of MORE Magazine . I am learning to be focused on my purpose when I am at work , when I go to church , literally in everything that I do .
I even realized that getting proper rest has a purpose . I found this out , I days are better when I shut down at night and go to bed .
I am excited about 2017 , more than I have been excited about any other year . Honestly , this year I am in the same place that I was in last year . But I have no intention to making the same plans next year .
This year , I am walking in purpose . I am putting my plans to action . And I have a village to help me .
For my creditworthiness , I am surrounding myself with long time friend Keyona Henderson . She is educating people on credit every day .
For my health , well that ' s a team effort . I have Coach Malcolm Davis who challenges my thoughts on wellness . I have Zhivi Williams who writes and makes her workouts available online . I have my sister Shaquana Armstrong who gives me guidance on nutrition .

For my purpose , I have none other than Bishop Michael B . Curtis , Jr . This Man of God teaches , preaches , encourages , and pushes me to never lose focus of my purpose .
For my writing , I am surrounded by the best team ever , # KNLP ( Arkeya Keys , Author Kisha , Author Donyia Keyette , Author Sentu , and Author Lavonnique ) They PUSH !
I have removed myself from negative relationships . I no longer allow myself to be subject to anyone ' s tolerance of me .
And lastly , I am surrounded by the greatest family anyone could ever have . My family includes the Vincents , Greens , Alstons , Bachelors , Carters , Boones , and everyone at the Sanctuary RIC . With this much love , I know that I can fulfill purpose in 2017 .
I pray that this issue of MORE Magazine is a blessing to you and that in reading it , the words fulfill their purpose .
