At Centennial Academy , our goal is to help students master their learning challenges , complete the curriculum established by the provincial government , and graduate with a Secondary School Diploma in five years .
Our student body is made up of young people with ADD , ADHD , ASD , dyslexia , dysgraphia and other challenges that make it difficult for them to learn in a traditional school environment . By combining the experience we have acquired over nearly 50 years with the latest developments in brain and learning research , we have developed an unparalleled level of expertise in helping students with a diverse range of learning challenges take control of their studies and trust in their ability to succeed .
We continually shape our school to fit the needs of our students , ensuring that we provide an optimal learning environment both inside and outside the classroom . We use supportive coaching methods that help students become more autonomous and resilient , improve their behavioural skills , and develop a growth mindset . And we achieve extraordinary results : although 90 % of our students have been diagnosed with one or more learning challenges , nearly 90 % of them graduate in five years and go on to CEGEP and university .
The most important thing we do at Centennial is change lives . We help students achieve success and help parents achieve a better life balance . We put and end to tutoring , summer school , arguments over homework , and uncertainties about graduating . We ’ re a school like no other - and we ’ re very proud of it .
