Addendum:
With regard to our spring issue, the opening paragraph to our article on page 90 about Chronic Pain should
have read as follows: Physical pain is a distressing yet transient experience for most people, but for the one in
five Canadians who live with chronic pain, relief that usually follows an expected recovery period is sporadic
or never comes at all. While its prevalence increases with age, with more than half the elderly population affected, the condition doesn’t exempt anyone, including one in five children who have weekly or more frequent
chronic pain arising most commonly from abdominal pain, headaches, and muscle or joint pain.
