Lions ’ Brewfest : Community service on tap
Monticello Lions Brewfest is a craft beer sampling event featuring live music , local food , and an amazing outdoor venue right on the Mississippi River .
More than 50 vendors fill the park offering well over 200 different beers , wines , and spirits . This year ’ s Brewfest is scheduled for Saturday , Aug . 19 , from 3 p . m . to 7 p . m . at West Bridge Park . The rain or shine event returns 100 percent of its proceeds to local charities . The craft beer sampling event continues to grow in popularity in and around Central Minnesota , becoming one of the premiere summer events in Monticello .
The gathering offers people the chance to taste about 100 different types of craft beers from vendors - including Monticello ’ s two breweries , Rustech Brewing Co . and Nordic Brewpub and Lupulin Brewing Co . of Big Lake . Brewfest also features several food options , as well as live music .

VIP ticket sales to Brewfest include 20-minute early entry to the event , a VIP T-shirt , a sampling mug , Brewfest mug lanyard , access to specialty kegs only available for sample with a VIP wristband , catered snacks , and private bathrooms . VIP ticket availability is limited and online only . VIP sales begin March 15 .
General admission tickets grant admission to Brewfest , a sampling mug , scorecard , and wristband that allows the tasting of unlimited craft beers .
