Erin Rose Panzella is originally from Winslow, Arizona, but grew up in Orlando, Florida, where she currently resides. She received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology-Child Life from Utica College in 2003 and has been practicing as a Certified Child Life Specialist since 2004. Child Life Specialists work with hospitalized children and their families in order to help them cope with medical treatment, diagnosis, and procedures through play, preparation, education, and self- expression. It was her own experience with chronic pain and illness as an adolescent that impassioned her to pursue a Child Life certification. She has been blessed to serve countless children and families in pediatric critical care units for the past 14 years. She has found narrative work to be essential in creating a cohesive professional identity.
