RICHARD POGUE (B.A.,
Teledramatic Arts and
Technology) is an
investment adviser
representative at Principal
Financial Group. In 2006,
Richard earned a Chartered
Life Underwriter (CLU) and
a Chartered Financial
Consultant (ChFC)
professional designation
through the American
College. He volunteers with
the Portland Business
Alliance’s President Council
in Beaverton, Ore., where
he lives. Richard enjoys
visiting the Oregon coast
with his wife, Gloria and
son Nicholas. He is also an
CHANTEL TOURYAN-SCHAEFER (2002, B.A, Liberal Studies) began teaching at the International School of Monterey
immediately after receiving her degree. She went on to earn
her M.Ed. in International Education, completing graduate studies in Madrid, Spain. Chantel spent time traveling
abroad, including Armenia, Guatemala, Costa Rica, and Thailand. She enjoys racing in triathlons and competes every
fall in the Pacific Grove triathlon. Chantel and her husband
Bryan Schaefer (B.S., ESSP, 2002), were recently married
and live in Seaside.

1998
KATHRYN RAMIREZ (B.A.,
Liberal Studies) is president
of the Salinas Union High
School District Board of
trustees, a California School
Board Association delegate,
and an Annual Education
Committee member. She
will be featured in All You
Magazine in October 2013,
and will be the subject of
an upcoming documentary
focusing on her success in
pursuing higher education
in a low-income household.
Kathryn lives in Salinas with
her family.
2002
JENNIFER ANN CABANLIT-LLAMAS (B.A., Liberal
Studies) is an elementary
school teacher at Ann
Soldo Elementary School
in Watsonville. Jennifer and
her husband Hector (B.A.
Liberal Studies, 2001) live
in Freedom with their two
daughters.
ANDREW CANNON (B.S.,
Telecommunications,
Multimedia, and Applied
Computing) After graduating from CSUMB, Andrew
worked as a software
developer for seven years.
During that time, he also
attended law school at UC
Hastings College of the
Law. Today, Andrew works
at Chapman and Cutler LLP
and practices banking and
corporate finance law in
San Francisco.
2001
ADAM FELDMAN (B.S.,
Environmental Science and
Social Policy) is the administrator for USC’s Westside
Cancer Center and Westside Center for Diabetes.
He lives in Los Angeles with
his wife Morgan and their
14-month-old daughter
Jordyn. Adam began his
studies in the executive
masters of health administration program at USC this
fall. In his spare time, Adam
enjoys seeing movies, playing softball, and taking his
daughter to the park.
