Montclair resident Barbara Kauffman was honored at
a LeadNJ gala in September as one of the organization’s
30 Leaders for 30 Years. She is the Executive Vice President
of Newark Regional Business Partnership and Chair of the
Board Appointments Committee for Executive Women of
New Jersey. LNJ’s mission is to educate, empower, and
engage talented leaders to create systemic change around
New Jersey’s most challenging issues.

FUN RUN
The fourth annual Mountie
Pride Fun Run was held in late
September. The 5 K run/
1 mile walk raised funds for
Montclair High School
Athletics. Participants played
games and purchased cool
swag supporting MHS athletic
teams and local sports
businesses.

SOCIAL SCENE
The ARC of Essex County held its third
annual Uncorked & Uncapped fundraiser in late
September. The evening featured samplings of
fine wine, craft beers, spirits and culinary treats
from celebrated local chefs. Proceeds benefit
The Arc of Essex County and the nearly 1,500
individuals with intellectual and developmental
disabilities whom they serve.

passing, the Yogi Berra Museum &
Learning Center observed a day
devoted to honoring his legacy. The
free event featured appearances by
the Berra family, games and giveaways
that ensured everyone attending
would leave with a souvenir.
