ECLECTIC ELEGANCE
The backboard to the bed, above, resembles one made of cut tin that Kass saw in Mexico; instead of paying $5,000 for that one,
she picked this one up on eBay for $150. She says that it was most likely a screen that was used to divide rooms. In this case, the scale
works well with the large bedroom. The translucent shades on the end table lamps give off a warm yellow glow, and were purchased
in New York City. Below, the lantern is a travel souvenir. The highly-detailed blue chairs were left out on a curb in Glen Ridge.
“They were dark wood, and I chalk-painted them,” she says. “I do love that color.” Kass purchased the glittery gecko with a good
friend, one more art object to remind her of time happily spent. ■
