CHAMBER CONCERTS
Every month this summer the local Chamber of Commerce hosts a series of free outdoors concerts on the Main Street village green . Held every Monday from 6:30 - 8:30 we kick off this month on August 7th with the sweet soul of GREEN EYED LADY . On the 14th it ’ s a dose of that old time rock and roll with MIKEE R AND THE DOGWATCH- ERS . A week later on August 21 a new act for Montauk , NINAA ET CETERA takes the village green stand . We end this year ’ s season on a really high note , when JOE DELIA AND THE THIEVES rock Montauk on August 28 . That ranges from MANNY SPRINGER and his afternoon dose of authentic reggae to the rocking sound of the local LIFEGUARDS . On Wednesday ’ s the wryly named HAMPTON GYPSY reinvents vintage 1920 ’ s bluegrass and roots music for your listening pleasure while on Saturdays HEART AND SOUL does just that with a medley of love songs , Beatles covers , and soft pop to stir your soul . The classic compound of dining and shopping has some entertainment in store for you as well this summer with a series of free , early evening concerts . Performing on stage at the eastern edge of the lawn this month ’ s schedule begins August 6 with the hardest working women in local rock and roll , when the NANCY ATLAS PROJECT turns up the heat . On the 13th the sweet soul and funk of MAMA LEE ROSE AND FRIENDS make their annual pilgrimage to the dock . On the 20th a new act for the area makes its debut when the ZANTI MISSFITS go all New Orleans funk on us all . Catch them every Thursday from at 6-9pm . Then on August 12 swing by for a funky time with INTERBORO . On the 19th thee sweet , sexy voice of LYNN BLUE takes over the room while the month comes to a rocking end on August 26th when none other than the high priest of pure rock , JOE DELIA AND THE THEIVES raise the old roof !
