Duc Loi's Pantry Grand Opening
On October 5, 2016, Assemblyman David Chiu, Assessor Recorder Carmen Chu, Supervisor Malia Cohen, and Mayor Ed Lee celebrated the grand opening of Duc Loi’s Pantry located in the heart of the Bayview district. ‘Duc Loi’ means ‘ethical earnings’ in Vietnamese, and it expresses the way that owners Howard and Amanda Ngo approach their business. Duc Loi’s Pantry will operate as a full-service grocery store, featuring fresh produce, meat, fish, and poultry. Its deli will offer a variety of Duc Loi’s signature banh mi sandwiches, along with other healthy prepared items like fresh spring rolls and papaya salad. The store will also sell household items, pet food, beer, wine and spirits.
