Mayor Lee joined program funder Dolby Laboratories for the official San Francisco launch of the Downtown Streets Team in March. The nonprofit organization’s mission is to end homelessness by helping to rebuild the lives of homeless men and women by providing a paycheck, job training and connecting people to employment and services. Team Members clean city streets and remove graffiti while learning employment skills. Team members are helping to keep the Civic Center, United Nations Plaza and the surrounding streets clean and safe.
