One of my favorite children’s books for winter is, The Snowy Day by

Ezra Jack Keats. As a previous preschool teacher this is one book that I read to my class every year after our first snow. Now living in Florida this book is great to discuss the weather changes that occur in the winter. This book is great to engage children in conversation about making predictions.

Since here is Florida we don’t experience snow I decided that we would make “snow” paint. This paint is super easy to make and better yet, your kids can help make the paint. When we made the paint we used about ¼ of the can of shaving cream and half a bottle of glue. We mixed the 2 ingredients together and we were ready to paint. The best thing about using this paint is that it dries like foam.
