FNCB Staff Donates to St. Joseph’s Baby Pantry

Staff members of FNCB Bank recently presented representatives from St. Joseph’s
Baby Pantry with an $856 donation along with 20 backpacks stuffed with school
supplies for the organization’s backpack drive.
Pickett Construction Hosts Successful Golf Tournament

Supports YMCA
The Greater Scranton YMCA recently
received a three-year, $125,000 grant
from the Moses Taylor Foundation
to support the implementation of
its nationally-recognized Diabetes
Prevention Program, as well as to
support additional chronic disease
programs.
The YMCA’s Diabetes Prevention
Program helps adults at high risk of
developing Type 2 Diabetes reduce
their risk for developing the disease
by taking steps that will improve their
overall health and well-being. Each
class runs for one year and consists of
25 sessions. The program’s goals are to
reduce body weight by 5-7 percent and
increase physical activity to 150 minutes
per week. The first class is expected to
launch in early 2017.

A. Pickett Construction Inc. of Kingston recently held its 22nd annual golf tournament
fundraiser at Fox Hill Country Club, raising approximately $12,000 for St. Jude
Children’s Research Hospital. A. Pickett Construction is in the planning stages for next
