“Promoting W
The cultural movements that have emerged across the country are providing a foundation for change
in all aspects of American life, including the role of women in business. We are proud that the Greater
Scranton Chamber of Commerce has been proactive in facilitating programming that focuses on
professional development for women business leaders.
As the number of women in business increased and roles began to expand, the Chamber instituted The Greater Scranton
Women’s Network. This program, which began in 1994, provided informative sessions on timely topics as well as the opportunity
for networking. Now we have our “Confi dence & Cocktails” events which offer those same opportunities.
In this edition of Momentum, you’ll see the lineup of outstanding speakers for “empower”, the fourth annual NEPA Women’s
Leadership Conference. This all-day conference brings together women of all ages and levels of experience to be inspired, learn,
network, engage – in other words, to be empowered.
We pledge to you our continuing best efforts to develop, nurture and promote women in business for the benefi t of our
organization and the entire community.
