The Dime Bank
The Dime Bank was recently awarded two honors by
the United Way at its Celebration of Caring breakfast.
The Dime Bank received the Platinum Hand Award in
recognition of its superior commitment to the people
of the community through corporate giving. It also
received an Award of Excellence for its generous
commitment to the people of the community through
employee giving.
Independent Graphics
Independent Graphics received the inaugural Supplier of
the Year Award in the 2017 Benjamin Franklin Awards for
Marketing Excellence, sponsored by the Philadelphia Direct
Marketing Association.
Honesdale National Bank donates to WVIA
Lackawanna College EMS
Academy Accreditation
The Honesdale National Bank recently donated
$3,500 to WVIA Public Media through the Pennsylvania
Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program. Funds will
be used to support WVIA’s educational services.
The Lackawanna College EMS Academy recently
received its accreditation in Basic Life Support from
Emergency Medical Services of Northeast PA. The EMS
Academy will also offer Emergency Medical Technician
(EMT) and Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) courses
to the public and emergency service organizations. The
Academy is currently offering EMR training to members
of the Scranton Fire Department.
