The training was available free of charge to local military veterans. The curriculum was based upon input from more than 30 regional manufacturers seeking to add to their workforce. As a result, a mix of technical and interpersonal skills was covered in a blended adult-learner format of classroom time and application. The training also included manufacturing plant tours and supplemental online learning. Training was provided by NEPIRC’s staff of experts, Lackawanna College faculty, and Tooling U-SME. The Pennsylvania News Media Association, The Scranton Times-Tribune and the Department of Communication of The University of Scranton recently sponsored a panel discussion about “Trust, Credibility and the News.” The Wright Center for Primary Care Clarks Summit Receives National Recognition The Wright Center for Primary Care Clarks Summit has been named a Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Prevention 2017 Million Hearts Hypertension Control Champion.
