AAA North Penn Supports the Ronald McDonald House FNCB Gives Back
Employees from the Scranton Office of AAA North Penn recently presented the Ronald McDonald House of Scranton with a check on behalf of their Scranton Employee Fund .
University of Scranton & Lackawanna Bar Association Host Hoban Lecture
FNCB Bank recently presented the SPCA of Luzerne County with a $ 1,010 donation raised through a bank-wide “ Jeans for a Cause ” dress down day . Matching each donation dollar to dollar , FNCB ’ s contribution will be used for the care of animals including food and veterinary bills . Since launching Jeans for a Cause in 2014 , FNCB employees have raised $ 25,591 for local non-profit organizations .
David Miliband , president and chief executive of International Rescue Committee and former United Kingdom foreign secretary , recently spoke at the Honorable T . Linus Hoban Memorial Lecture , which is organized by the University of Scranton and the Lackawanna Bar Association .
Employees from FNCB Bank recently donated $ 1,000 in groceries and more than 250 gifts to nine local families as part of the Bank ’ s “ Adopt-A-Family ” holiday project . The program matches local families in need from the Catherine McAuley Center and Children and Youth Services of Wayne County with those wishing to donate . More than 200 FNCB staff members participated .
GROW Donates to Women ’ s Resource Center
Green Ridge OM & Wellness recently collected a variety of items for the Women ’ s Resource Center . “ Bringing the community together is part of what GROW is about ,” said owner Kristin Martelli . “ Understanding the needs of those through physical and emotional wellness is important to the wellbeing of every person .”
The Wright Center Sponsors Thanksgiving Food Drive
Employees of The Wright Center recently raised $ 1,425 in donations from board members , employees and faculty to support its annual Thanksgiving Food Drive . Donations benefitted a traditional Thanksgiving dinner that was distributed to 60 families .
