The Albright Memorial Library recently celebrated its 125th anniversary. During
the event, Lackawanna County Commissioner Patrick O’Malley presented a
proclamation to the library and John J. Albright Distinguished Service Awards
were presented to Atty. Jacob Nogi and Emily Perry.

Horizon Dental Care Hosts
“Dentistry from the Heart”
Horizon Dental Care recently hosted its “Dentistry from the Heart” event, where
more than 159 patients were provided dental cleanings, fillings and/or extractions
completely free of charge. Their team of over 75 volunteers included dentists,
hygienists, assistants, dental office staff and community volunteers who helped to
provide comfort and hospitality and dental care to members of the community who
cannot afford it.
Borton-Lawson’s Chief Executive Officer and Founder,
Christopher L. Borton, P.E., was one of two local leaders
inducted into the Junior Achievement of Northeastern
Pennsylvania’s (JA of NEPA) Business Hall of Fame. The
other nominee was John C. Metz, Sr. of Metz Culinary
Management.
