MEMBER NEWS Geisinger Community Medical Center’s Cancer Center recently received a $100,000 donation from the Robert Y. Moffat Family Charitable Trust to support patient care, research, education and equipment needs. FNCB Bank recently presented a $2,500 Educational Improvement Tax Credit donation to Lackawanna College to benefit the College’s ongoing programs. The Dime Bank recently donated $22,000 to support scholarship funding to benefit lower income families at several regional schools. These donations were made through the Pennsylvania Education Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program. Landmark Community Bank recently donated $1,500 to the Greater Scranton YMCA. 8 • The Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce FNCB Bank recently made an $80,000 Pennsylvania Education Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) donation to the Diocese of Scranton Scholarship Foundation. Regional Education Academy for Careers in Health (REACH-HEI) Students from Scranton High School and the Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine in Scranton recently worked with Lackawanna College Emergency Medical Service (EMS) Academy students to get hands-on instruction about careers in the EMS field. REACH- HEI is an out-of-school program that provides academic enrichment opportunities, including mentoring by medical and graduate students. The Wright Center for Primary Care recently opened two locations in Wilkes- Barre. The Wright Center for Primary Care Wilkes-Barre is located at 335 South Franklin Street and The Wright Center for Primary Care Old River Road is located at 250 Old River Road. Joseph Anistranski, MD, FAAFP has joined The Wright Center for Primary Care as physician-faculty and will continue to serve as a Family Medicine physician in Luzerne County. Meaghan Ruddy, MA, PhD, BCC, ACC was recently named Director of Medical Education (DME) at The Wright Center for Graduate Medical Education.
