HOUSTON CHRONICLE’S TOP 150 NURSES
Clear Lake Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce Sonia Almendarez, RN and Melissa Barajas, RN as Houston’s
“Top 150 Nurses” according to the Houston Chronicle.
Almendarez has a diverse background in nursing, previously serving in surgical services, coronary intensive care, and most
recently focusing on national standards of quality care for the sepsis population.
“Nursing is much more than a job to me; it is truly a passion of mine. The gratification I receive from advocating on
healthcare issues that affect nurses and the public are why I do what I do,” said Sonia Almendarez, RN. “I am fortunate to
work at Clear Lake Regional Medical Center where our nursing team delivers quality care to every patient, every day.”
