Starbucks Managers Boost Self Esteem
Of Clear Creek Intermediate Students
Starbucks Manager Wil Scott shows
Communities In Schools-Bay Area students

Two Starbucks managers Wil Scott and Bert Smith are following up their
Communities In Schools-Bay Area-sponsored Career Fair participation by
meeting with Clear Creek Intermediate male  students.  Communities In
Schools-Bay Area is a dropout prevention program serving 15 campuses in
Clear Creek and Dickinson ISDs.

Scott and Smith  meet every other week to discuss what is going on in the
students' lives. Recent topics of the meeting were respect, proper handshakes,
eye contact, how to treat young ladies and more.

Wil Scott manages the Starbucks store across FM 2094 from Clear Creek
Intermediate. Bert Smith is the manager of the Starbucks across from Baybrook
Mall.

“Wil Scott and Bert Smith have generously volunteered their time and
Starbucks coffee to help CIS students improve their school experience and
outlook on   life. They are dedicated to helping our students become successful students and productive community
members," says Priscilla Munoz, CIS program coordinator at Clear Creek Intermediate.

In addition to these self-esteem meetings, Starbucks has donated gift cards as incentives for CIS students and coffee for
teacher appreciation. More coffee is being donated for the April 16 Keep Kids in School  golf tournament benefiting
CIS' program.
