Get to know Odyssey Academy …
Odyssey Academy ( OA ) is an innovative and dynamic public charter school serving 1,200 students across Galveston County and beyond . OA provides meaningful learning experiences for prekindergarten three year olds through 12th grade . We focus on building leadership skills in our students through Stephen Covey ’ s The Leader in Me and 7 Habits of Highly Effective People . OA also is dedicated to giving students college experiences through college field trips and partnering with College of the Mainland ’ s Collegiate High School . We want to ensure our students are ready to enter the work force with all the necessary 21st century skills including higher education experience and degrees , soft skills , and career based knowledge . We work tirelessly with our community businesses , Chamber of Commerces , and partners to better connect our students to the world around them .

Odyssey Academy ’ s students and staff are held to high expectations and work to build relationships with each other in order to inspire passionate learning , producing a community that exemplifies leadership and 21st century skills . Why do we exist ? We exist to inspire and develop the highest potential in every one of our students . How do we behave ? We behave by building relationships with those around us through caring for the whole person and supporting each other , setting high expectations for ourselves and those around us , and showing passion by being fanatical about our craft . What do we do ? We educate students . How will we succeed ? We will differentiate ourselves by providing diverse academic and life experiences for students , being involved in community groups and activities , and providing appropriate resources and systems to ensure staff effectiveness .
