AVENIDA BRAZIL CHURRASCARIA STEAKHOUSE Houston restaurants coalesce in the fight to end hunger. From August 1st to September 4th Avenida Brazil, formerly known as Tradicao Brazilian Steakhouse, will be participating in the single largest fundraiser in the United States. Houston Restaurant Weeks, HRW, is a 35-day commitment to make a donation to the largest food bank in America. All participating restaurants have a fixed-price menu, and donations are based upon their sales during those 35 days. Avenida Brazil will be featuring a dinner and Sunday brunch menu for HRW. The dinner menu is a $35 three-course, unlimited meat experience. The restaurant will donate $5 from each dinner purchased, which the Food Bank will use to generate 15 meals. Highlights of the dinner menu include: traditional picanha top sirloin steak, cognac-marinated chicken, parmesan-dusted pork tenderloin, bacon-wrapped beef served tableside, along with their signature gourmet salad bar featuring 30 + items made fresh daily, and Brazilian dessert options. Their Sunday brunch is a $22 buffet of which $3 will be donated to generate 9 meals. The brunch buffet will feature the lobster bisque, omelets and waffles made to order, and a pork belly feijoada bar—a true Brazilian Sunday tradition! “We’ve had tremendous support over the past years and have been fortunate to donate over $50,000 for the Houston Food Bank,” stated Melissa Abrantes, Operations Manager for Avenida Brazil. “We are hoping to make an even larger donation this year!” What does Houston Restaurant Weeks mean for you?
