Letter From The Editor Issue 6, our first year is complete! Modern Moto will be celebrating with VIP parties in California and Florida. Subscribers, watch your email for an invite! So, in these letters you have learned a bit about me and got a peek behind the scenes, but now I want to introduce you to our amazing writers. Each of the Modern Moto team comes from a different background, has a unique viewpoint and rocks what they do. Thank you, ladies! - Katie Jill Dunphy is a fashion-savvy geologist. In a safety-focused industry, she’s struggled to maintain her sense of style while staying safe on the job during field assignments. She experienced the same frustration when she started riding motorcycles. As a result, Jill has developed a passion for finding riding gear that looks feminine yet still offers top- notch protection. Jill rides a 2015 BMW F 700 GS. Karleen Eberle is a fashion designer and product developer. Her mission is to empower women and help reduce fashion industry waste. She believes in the power of two wheels to create stronger communities, build self- confidence and experience life to the fullest. Karleen shares her knowledge of design, fabrics and do-it-yourself techniques. Karleen rides a 2010 Kawasaki KLX250S. Deb Gasque, is the Iron Butt Fashionista. Deb has a passion for long distance riding and looking her best. She recently road from coast to coast in less than 50 hours for the "Look Good Feel Better" charity program. She shares her tips for what to pack and how to look and feel fabulous on long distance rides. Deb rides a 1994 BMW R1100RS. Brittany Morrow travels the world as an advocate for motorcycle gear and safety. She has been inspiring riders for years as an instructor, speaker and event organizer. Lynda Meyers believes deeply in the power of story, connection and authentic relationship. Lynda is a writer with two award- w inning novels, four kids and a full-time job as a registered nurse. Lynda rides a 2013 Harley-Davidson Dyna Super Glide Custom. Jessica Van den Ancker has the statement: “I  Words.” in her email signature. As a writer of short fiction prose and poetry, she brings her wit and humor to our pages, sharing her experiences as a new rider and self-diagnosed gear-whore.
