The event has grown in fi ve years from 2,500 par cipants to over 70,000 global par cipants from 91 countries across 600 ci es. The Thro le Roll is an event and blog that showcases the best custom bikes in a niche motorcycle scene. These Thro le Roll street par es in Sydney, Australia and Los Angeles, California a ract over 8,000 a endees. Mark is always working on his next project and considering how to create fun events that change the world. One day in 2010, Mark woke up a er a dream about riding, booked a motorcycle license appointment and never looked back. In 2011, a er visi ng Japan and seeing the custom culture along with the crazy Bosozuku customs, he bought a Yamaha that he customized into a cafe racer. Mark has never sold a motorcycle. They each have their own personali es, and he connects with each one on a diff erent level. If he had to choose a favorite, it would be the Yamaha SR500, the bike that started Sydney Cafe Racers, Australian Cafe Racers, Ride Sunday, Thro le Roll and the Dis nguished Gentleman's Ride. It is a bike Mark will never let go of, ever. For Mark, the best part of the riding community is the friendships he makes; riding motorcycles makes for amazing connec ons, regardless of fi nancial status, gender, age, color, language, religion, race or sexual preference. Mark says the best thing about riding is the people, followed closely by the adrenaline rush a er turning the thro le through the most twisty roads you can fi nd.
