Modern Model Sept 2015 | Page 6

T      he  moment  I  met  Saginaw,  MI   models  Amber  Thiel  and  Phoenix  Haller,  I   realized  that  this  modeling  dynamic  duo   is   exactly   what   the   modeling   world   needs!     They   are   like   the   modern   version  of  Thelma  and  Louse,  but  instead   of   wandering   aimlessly,   gemng   into   trouble,   commimng   crimes,   and   apparently   being   unable   to   read   a   map   and  ending  up  driving  a  classic  car  into  a   gorge   (easier   ways   to   get   to   Mexico,   people),   these   two   can   instead   hang   out,   have  fun,  model  together,  aOend  events,   go   to   concerts,   go   to   college,   and   open   a   surf  shop  on  the  shores  of  Cozumel.    This  is  my  vision  of  how  Amber   and   Phoenix   have   to   offer   the   modeling   industry.    Varity  –  the  difference  in  looks,   between   the   height,   hair   color,   and   tones.   With   the   excepNon   of   twins,   shoots  that  include  models  that  look  too   much  alike  can  just  get  confusing,  and  in   the   end   product,   the   look   is   too   similar.   Amber  and  Phoenix  are  different  worlds,   and  if  an  ouDit  does  not  compliment  one   of   them,   it   will   likely   compliment   the   other.     Support   –   models   who   work   together  as  a  team  (or  a  group,  or  pack,   or   flock,   not   sure   what   the   appropriate   term   is   here),   is   that   they   can   support   and   encourage   each   other.   Support   is   important,   because   this   is   a   harsh   industry  that  will  tear  you  down.  People   seem  to  have  no  reservaNons  about   Modern Modern Model Model Page Page 6 6
