Bow  To  The  Queen:  Alice  in  Wonderland  photo  shoot  Red  Queen,  Angela  Pearl,  back  center,  holds  court  over  models  from  front   lel,   ,   Jake   Eht   Idej,   Chelsi   Noelle,   Chrissy   Longacre,   Mandy   Ulishney,   Derrick   Zarowski,   Paul   Schneider,   and   Phire   Free.   Photo   ©   Rusty  Yonkers/One  With  The  Camera   ideas  in  order  put  our  own  stamp  on   this  wild  Tea  Party.”     Mandy   was   able   to   design   and   make   some   amazing   props,   from   large   playing   cards,   to   other   fun  props  such  as  “drink  me”  labels,   more   card   creaJons,   and   provided   the   ever   so   needed   tea   set,   Angela   said.     Aler   building   a   Lost   Wonderland   group   Facebook   page,   we   posted   the   first   concept   and   listed   characters   that   we   felt   would   be  needed  for  our  unique  Tea  Party   shoot,  she  said.    “Models  were  then  able  to   comment   on   who   they   would   be   most   interested   in   portraying,”   she   sadi,   adding   that   models   were   selected   on   a   first   come,   first   serve   basis,  and  also  weighted  on  whether   they  would  fit  the  idea  and  concept   of  the  character.    “We  wanted  perfecJon,  so   Modern Model Page 25 even   though   it   was   first   come,   first   serve,  we  wanted  to  make  sure  that   the  model  portraying  each  character   had   the   same   idea   or   vision   as   we   planned,”   she   added.     “As   you   know,   different   models   have   different  ideas  on  how  they  wanted   their  character  portrayed,  so  we  did   have  to  do  some  minor  type  casJng.     We  didn’t  want  someone  looking  for   a   more   cutesie/cliche   Alice   or   white   rabbit,   for   example,   looking   out  of  place  in  our  twisted  vision.”     We   also   wanted   to   make   sure   that   each   model   would   be   able   to   portray   their   character   easily   and   even   channel   their   parJcular   character  to  make  the  concept  seem   more  real  and  interesJng,  she  said.     One   final   challenge   was   a   locaJon   change   just   prior   to   the   shoot’s  scheduled  date,  Angela  said.     “We   had   originally   planned   on   using   the   home   studio   of   the   photographer,   where   a   few   of   us   models   had   shot   various   things   at   before,  but  we  then  came  across  an   unique  gem  during  a  monthly  group   shoot   at   the   unique   vintage   clothing   store,   GRVintage   Thril,”   Angela   said.   “Owner   Perian   Olson     had   discussed   her   love   ad   fascinaJon   of   The  Madd  Haaer  and  how  she’d  be   interested   in   hosJng   an   Alice   on   Wonderland  themed  shoot.”    With  Peri’s  love  for  anJques,   and   her   unique   store   that   offered   vintage   doors,   frames,   a   huge   checkerboard,   and   whimsical   lights   intertwined   among   branches,   we   decided   to   change   the   locaJon,   Angela  said.     “ I   s a w   t h e   g o r g e o u s   hardwood   floors,   anJque   tables   and   lamps…the  place  was  just  what  I  had   always   imagined   that   the   Madd   Haaer   himself   would   host   his   signature  tea  party  in,”  Angela  said.
