point  of  great  local  pride  to  fight  for   its  restoration.  If  the  building  is   returned  to  its  original  glory,  it  is   realistic  to  expect  that  people  will   travel  from  all  over  the  world  to  see   the  station  glimmering  against  the   local  skyline  once  again  –  a  positive,   historic  local  landmark  preserved  for   future  generations  to  enjoy.    Of  the  many  active  train   restoration  groups  in  existence,   some  should  be  interested  enough   to  help  save  this  station.    If  not  an  avid  train  lover,   then  an  architect  perhaps?  From  an   architectural  stand  point,  this   building  is  absolutely  amazing.  It  was   years  ahead  of  its  time  when  first   constructed,  and  is  still  ahead  of  its   time  today.  It  should  be  a  matter  of   great  pride  for  any  student  of   architecture,  at  any  level,  to  be  able   to  say  that  they  assisted  with  the   preservation  of  this  station  in  any   way.    Investors,  bankers,  grant   donors.  From  any  part  of  the  world,   this  building  is  a  worthy    cause,  or   investment,  or  tax  write  off  (the   Friends  of  the  Saginaw  Depot   Preservation  Corporation  is  a  non-‐ profit  501(c)  3  organization).    College  students,   fraternities,  sororities.  This  would  be   an  amazing  cause  to  hold  a   fundraiser  for.  Imagine  that  in  the   near  or  distant  future,  your  college   could  plan  a  trip  to  the  restored   Potter  Street  Station,  and  tour  a   proud  landmark  that  you  had  a  hand   in  restoring!    Artists,  photographers,  or   just  anyone  who  appreciates  beauty   in  any  way.  I  would  be  hard  pressed   to  believe  that  anyone  would  be  able   to  look  at  this  building  with  anything   less  than  admiration.       Modern Model Page 18
