GETTING TO KNOW YOU
Getting to Know
Alison Hill
What inspired you to start
your business? What are
your goals and values?
Every business is a human
business and yet all too often,
work systems and procedures
strip this away. The drive to
start our business was to create
learning experiences that drive
real behaviour change based on
psychology; not just ‘sheep-dipping’
exercises that everyone HAS to
go through. There is a hunger in
the market for practical learning
strategies, based on science,
beautifully designed, that actually
work. That’s what we obsess
about.
how to connect, engage, motivate
and support people are the
hardest skill to master. Psychology
provides a lot of insights and
research into how to do this more
effectively.
feedback cultures.
I’m also passionate about
supporting women in leadership
roles. It’s time for women to hold
50% of the leadership positions
across this country.
What types of customers do
you help?
We work with corporate and multinational organisations who want to
drive real change. Often customers
come to us stating that they need
‘something different’; desperate to
challenge the status quo. It’s these
difference-makers in organisations
that we love working with to create
unique and amazing outcomes.
What was the driving force
behind your decision to
specialise in this area of
business?
The driving force came from my
studies in psychology and the
key role that workplaces play in
proactively supporting people. We
spend a huge amount of time in
the workforce, work shouldn’t be
a place we dread, but actually a
place that encourages us to be the
best versions of ourselves. Often
known as the ‘soft skills’ learning
What are the main reasons
that someone would choose
you to help grow/develop/
improve their business?
We combine behaviour, motivation
and design in the work we deliver.
The goal is to drive real behaviour
change in a way that individuals
are inherently motivated to engage
in. The three main streams that
we support businesses to grow
and develop is through focusing
on culture strategies, leadership
development, and building robust
What challenges did you face
in setting up your business?
To be honest the biggest challenge
in setting up my business has
been backing myself and trusting
the talent in my team. It’s very
un-Australian to blow your own
trumpet and as a business we’ve
had to get over this; knowing that
the work we do is leading edge. It’s
a daily commitment to step into
courage and back myself.

Do you provide services
nationally?
Absolutely. When you realise there
are weeks that you have more
conversations with the lady who
serves the coffee at the local Virgin
Lounge then you do your next door
neighbour you know you’ve been
on the fly lately. We have clients all
across Australia from Darwin, north
Queensland, Melbourne, Sydney
and Perth.
