Our consulting arm, Thinkers.inq Consulting, takes our philosophy of play with purpose and engages with medium sized businesses and large corporations and is about developing thinkers not just doers who will contribute to great leadership, culture and innovation – creating wellbeing in workplaces. Do you provide services nationally? We do. All our businesses embrace the cloud which means we can take on clients all over the country from remote farms in Victoria to individuals over in Perth. We support this by travelling up and down the coast seeing clients and delivering keynotes and workshops. Do you have any plans for overseas expansion? We do with our Thinkers.inq preschools but first we want to change how schooling is done in Australia and then we’ll head overseas. What would you say to someone looking for a business consultant and what advice would you give them? I would say that it’s important to think about what problem you’re trying to solve rather than just going to someone and yelling help. The problem you identify may not be the right problem but it’s a starting point at least. I also think it’s important to understand how the consultant works, how they charge, who else they’ve worked with and what their own experience in business is. I’ve seen too many consultants 36 ModernBusiness May 2016 that have completed a six week course and then are sent into the business world with their templates and their one size fits all approach and it just doesn’t work with many businesses. Have you written a book? If so, please tell us a bit about what business owners can get out of it. I have written a few books. The first is More Money for Shoes which is a full colour, illustrated book which compares building a wardrobe to building a business. I purposefully and cheekily called it More Money for Shoes becaus
