Bikinis and Their Types

Swimming as a sport became popular in the nineteenth century. It is an activity which can be
enjoyed both as a sport and as an exercise. Swimming is an activity which can be enjoyed
by men and women are both. Many events take place every year as far as swimming is concerned both at national and state level. But to participate in such events one has to undergo
several training sessions and practice. Open water swimming is difficult when compared to
swimming in a pool. One has to follow several diets, exercises and ethics. It is recommended
to wear authentic swimsuits while swimming.
There are many types of swimming costumes which can be used while swimming or out on a
holiday somewhere near the beaches. Some of these types are:
Beach wraps: These are mostly used in the western part of the world. These types of swimsuits are highly in demand in USA. It is a stretch wrap which is of thigh length. It comes in
various colors and prints on it. It is a type of dress which is worn by women's. These wraps
are also known as pares and cover-ups.
Bikinis: They are often worn by women in hot weather, swimming or sunbathing. Basically
bikinis are said to be two pieces but you can also find one piece bikinis in the market. The
only thing that makes it different from the other swimsuits is its crispness. It comes in different styles and sizes. The modern bikini came into existence in the 20th century. It is the most
desired beach wear or swimwear demanded worldwide. Previously bikinis were made up of
cotton and jersey dress materials but in modern times, it is made up of Lycra. Cotton and
jersey materialized bikinis were not in much demand as they were not comfortable to be
worn. But since Lycra bikinis are brought in to existence the demand for it has increased big
time. It is very comfortable. It comes in various modified styles as well. Other than in beaches and pools it is also used in various sports activities like beach volleyball, athletics and other sports. The reason behind it is that it brings a lot of comfort, makes it condition friendly as
volleyball is played on sand, it helps one to bare the heat in summer and also is used as a
medium to attract attention.
Tankinis: It is a type of bathing suit which is also known as tanqueray. It mostly comes in Lycra, cotton, nylon and spandex materials. Tankinis come in various types of colors, styles,
designs, prints and shapes. The combination of a top and bikini bottom makes a tankini. It is
made for women and children. It was introduce in the late 1990s and since then they are in
fashion.
These days you get a lot of designer swimwear which can be used for all purposes. There
are many companies and reputed brands that are into manufacturing bathing suits. All the
swimwears are mostly made in USA.
