  Introduction
Models of Validation is a two-year knowledge
transfer partnership between Axisweb and
Manchester Metropolitan University. The aim of
this action-research project is to agree
principles of validation as the basis for an online
platform, which will be made in direct
consultation with artists who have a socially
engaged practice.  The platform will be hosted
by Axisweb,  and aim to engage, connect and
facilitate conversations between the
stakeholders involved in socially engaged
projects - these include but are not limited to
artists, commissioners, community groups,
funders, local councils, NGOs, academics and
researchers.
