camel active invites all customers to discover
the Autumn/Winter 2019 collection from
camel active footwear at Gallery Shoes in
Düsseldorf from 10 th to 12 th March 2019.
The new Autumn/Winter collection 2019
+Life Explorer is all about change and
reinterpreting the brand heritage of
camel active. While “Explorer” describes the
pure brand DNA, “+Life” represents both
innovation and evolution, creating a remake
of the brand DNA. Influences from sports
and streetwear meet outdoor hiking trends.
For men, camel active footwear is picking up
on the original model from the 1980s: the
“Havanna” lace-up boot. Shoe types from the
workwear, trekking and outdoor segments
are also part of the brand DNA. Rugged, high-
quality leather and technical materials play
a vital role. Other favourites include sporty
knitted uppers on running soles and hiking/
sneaker hybrids. They are worn with raw
outdoor tweeds, timber checked shirts and
marled jumpers for a retro explorer look.
Urban streetwear interpretations include
consistently-applied mountaineer themes
on sneaker soles. The trend is implemented
as rugged hiking/sneaker hybrids with
ankle-high shafts.
The highlight sneaker is the new model
“Terra”, with its running sole. By presenting
it in leather combined with a crepe sole,
camel active footwear is making a clear
statement in favour of natural materials in a
technical design. Gore-Tex membranes provide
a protective function. The key colours in the
spectrum are mainly earthy and grey shades,
supplemented by olive, khaki and ox blood.
For women, outfits are complemented by
worker and hiking-inspired boots – a striking
expression of the brand.
Ankle boots are very important this winter.
Also new is a low-cut cowboy boot with a
single-colour shaft and subtle embroidery
in bottle green. Chelsea boots and a high-
shaft boot model are also big in the segment.
They are designed as urban cup soles or
functional hiking types with profiled soles.
The shafts are clear and understated. Hooks
and eyes provide striking details, as does fake
fur. Here, too, the colour spectrum is largely
based around earthy tones. Black is the most
important colour, with accents coming from
fashionable dark red, dark blue and dark green.
