Passion for design
Siden barndommens år, hvor Marianne
Schmidt lejede ”klæd-ud” med effekterne
fra sin bedstemors garderobeskab, har
tioner på steder som Indien og Bali. Jeg
elsker at kombinere rå etnicitet med femi-
på noget smukt og unikt, siger Marianne
Schmidt.
Designteamet kigger også på aktuelle mar-
kedstrends og finder ud af, hvad der er ”hot
or not”. Designerne fortolker tidligere suc-
ceser og kombinerer med nye farver, silhu-
etter og detaljer.

noget ekstraordinært ud fra. Hun henter
også ideer fra forskellige kulturer i verden,
ikke mindst fra Asien, og omdanner blandt
andet indtryk fra arkitektur og kultur i
Tokyo og Hong Kong til nye mode-udtryk.

Not at least thanks to head designer and

Passion for design
designer Marianne Schmidt has dreamed
of designing clothes people would love
collections, from concept to design, from
catalogue to shop - and she has a passion
for combining different colours, materi-
als, or techniques, taking even old dresses
and tablecloths and turning them into
something extraordinary. She finds great
inspiration from the different cultures of
the world, particularly Asia. For one, she
believes Tokyo and Hong Kong are very
aesthetic in their architecture, design and
food, and that translates to their fashion
sense.
- I really appreciate the contrasts - for

age-old

and
modern installations in places like lndia
and Bali. I love to combine raw ethnicity
with femininity and to make an exciting
twist of something unique and beautiful,
says Marianne Schmidt.
The design team also looks to the market
for current trends, exploring what's hot
and what's not. The designers reinterpret
the past successes and combine with new
colours, silhouettes and embellishments.
