designer Marianne Schmidt has dreamed
of designing clothes people would love
collections, from concept to design, from
catalogue to shop - and she has a passion
for combining different colours, materi-
als, or techniques, taking even old dres-
ses and tablecloths and turning them into
something extraordinary. She finds great
inspiration from the different cultures of
the world, particularly Asia. For one, she
believes Tokyo and Hong Kong are very
aesthetic in their architecture, design and
food, and that translates to their fashion
sense.
