IN BRIEF BY HELLE MATHIESEN LUCIE KAAS LAUNCHES ERAT CHIC ANTIQUE The new Erat collection is made of terrazzo - a solid material made of crushed Italian marble and concrete. The designer Alberto Bellamoli has his roots in a small northern Italian city, where terrazzo has been produced for centuries by the local craftsmen. With his passion for and special knowledge of the terrazzo material and its possibilities, the designer has developed specific blend recipes for the collection. - I have designed this terrazzo collection by using some of the most classic Italian marble that has always been part of my surroundings. I balance the mixture of marble to create a pattern that gives us the opportunity to appreciate the beauty of every single stone. With ter- razzo you can always be sure to have something unique, says Alberto Bellamoli about the design. Erat collection consists of two-dimensional trays, a mirror and a candlestick, which comes in three colour variants: pink corallo (pink), verde alpi (green) and nero ebani (black). In September Lucie Kaas exhibits at Maison&Objet in Hall 7. IB LAURSEN OUTDOOR LIVING AT TENDENCE With the dates 24-27 June 2017, Tendence in Frankfurt is the first international design platform in the second half of the year: New, exciting, original and creative ideas abound at Tendence. Retail- ers get to meet top brands and key players and become part of the pulsating market. The latest products for autumn, Christmas, spring and summer will celebrate their premiere in June in Messe Frankfurt. Between the Galleria and Hall 10 there will be, for the first time, a display area that leads out towards the adjacent external exhibi- tion space. Exhibitors from the outdoor segment and suppliers of decorative plants for the balcony and the terrace will show, how life can be enjoyed outside with atmosphere and style. One particular exhibition concept, created by 2Dezign from the Netherlands, brings young saplings, garden plants and accesso- ries together with outdoor furniture and other accoutrements for the outside in an entirely new way. The central idea is to put garden plants alongside attractive lifestyle products at Tendence and to stage them in an atmospheric garden scenario. Retailers will be able to order all the products on display at the show in the open-air area F11. LUCIE KAAS LUCIE KAAS | ERAT 42 | ISSUE NO 02 JUNE 2017 | MODEBRANCHEN.
